This video takes you right into the wheelhouse (Japanese freighter Kensho Maru in Truk Lagoon-Federated States of Micronesia) showing the telegraph (communications device used on a ship (or submarine) for the pilot on the bridge to tell engineers in the engine room to power the vessel at a certain speed) and wheel. Here me clunk my tank on the way out. It sometimes happens.
The cargo included anything from aircraft to tanks, trucks, artillery shells, boxes of saki, periscopes and torpedoes. Over 100 Japanese ships of the Pacific fleet in Truk were bombarded by the Americans during the second world war.
This footage was taken at approximately 100' depth.
